Human Nature
DavidCopperfield waswritten by Dickens and it is a long piece of fiction.The story is told almost entirely from the pointof view of the first person narrator, David Copperfield himself.When reading this novel, I was totally attracted by not only theexciting plot but also the author‘s sprightly smooth and thehumorous charminglanguage.
Themain character, David Copperfield is a diligent person who is goodat observing. His father passed away in his early time, and hismother departed later, which made him make a livingindependently. At first, he wassent to do the child laborer. Latter, because cannot bear the maltreatment, he ranaway to his aunt’s home. His aunt sent him to school, aftergraduate, he become a lawyer and marry his teacher’sdaughter Dora. But soon, Dora died of disease and Davidleave for Australia with deep sorrow. After returning to homeland, he hadbecome a writer and married Agnes, and from this time he starts thehappy content life.

The novel plot isjust like this,though there are not manysoul-stirring scenes and imposing heroicachievement,lets me feel
that Iwas appreciating a freshpicture.
David’s complexcharacter allows for contradiction and development over the courseof the novel. David experiencedmany things whichwere difficult and dangerous, when he was in trouble, his friendscame to help him. Among those people, there were men and women,elders and children. Though they were different, all can renderoneself in one’s power assistance at difficult time. Due to havethese truly friends, David can turn danger into safety and bepulled in the death edge by the companion again and again. What canlet he pass the danger is the great humannature.
Ithinkthe human nature passes through this book. In thenovel, there are many art characters, in myopinion,these are theactually living character in the real life. These characters arenot only lived in 19th century, but also liveinthe present age.The human nature isdivided into two parts, elegant and ugly.The eleganthuman nature should always be remembered by us and not be dilutedby the time’s change. We should develop and let it lead the entirehuman nature for it has a great significance for our society. Theugly human nature should be forbidden and not appear in thesociety, it is not only does no significance to our society, evenalso can tow the hind leg which weprogress.
The good servant Peggotty was kind all the time.She does not like to show herself in front of people, her kindnesscomes from her heart, and
then I associate others in the world,some of them are hypocritical and unctuous. Which they can’t getrid of is their own interest. No matter what they do, they firstthink is that whether their interest will be destroyed or theirpurpose will be completed. They are selfish, and their mind shouldbe corrected with the standard ofPeggotty’s.
In our actually society, many people are similarto Steerforth, he is very cunning, he made friends with David thencheat his friends. 在大卫的成长经历中，不能不提到的还有一个人──裴果提，大卫的老奶妈。她同样是一个了不起的女人。童年的大卫在她的照顾和陪伴中幸福快乐的成长成年后的大卫仍得到她无微不至的关怀。裴果提对大卫母子俩忠心耿耿，既是仆人又是亲人，在大卫被继父打得遍体鳞伤之后，锁在房里，母亲不敢去看他，只有裴果提顺着锁眼去安慰他。无论在哪里，她总是把大卫照顾地很好，她的家永远有大卫的位置。她对大卫的爱是那么真挚、淳朴，她心地善良，她所有善良淳朴的人，她也很能干，家务井井有条。
此外，博爱善良淳朴的裴果提先生，勤劳能干诚实的哈姆，他们有着金子般的心灵，被生活所迫流离失所但乐观开朗的米考伯夫妇，善良朴实的特拉德，与贪婪冷酷的摩德斯通弟，阴险狡诈、卑鄙无耻的小人希普，奸诈阴险的纨绔子弟斯蒂福形成了一个鲜明对比，使美的更美，丑的更丑。哈姆与斯蒂福的死截然不同，斯蒂福的死是他奸险行为的报应，而哈姆是狄更斯博爱宽容人道主义理想的最高体现。
