All That Jazz：这也是一部电影(1979年，Bob Fosse执导的「爵士春秋」) 的名称，但Rap 乐中它的意思是”All That Stuff、All That Nonsense”(那些废物) 。Chartbuster ：(主要为  D.J. 及音乐刊物上用语) 指在排行榜上极为成功的作品。Buster 意为驯服者、征服者，它可与许多名词形成复合字，例如：Ghostbuster(电影「魔鬼克星」) 的意思便是征服魔鬼的人。
Check This Out：Rap 歌中常出现的Check This Out有两种情况，后面接着继续说唱的，表示说唱者(Rapper)有重要讯息要告诉你，请你思考他的话; 后面接着出现一段音乐的，表示他要你仔细听音乐中特别的变化。
Chilling ：(表行动派，积极者的) 冷静、沉着与冷漠傲视周遭的态度。类似的词语有Chill Out、Cool It、Cool Off、
Caim Down等。※Deep ：Real 之意，与形容词连用，如：Deep True(真是实话) 、Deep Dumb(真是够笨) ，加强形容词之用。
Def ：是Definite 的简写，黑人用语中是Cool 、Better 之意，表示一坚定冷静不畏缩的黑人，是很Cool 及Better 的人，Rap 乐手常吹嘘自己是Defiest(最Cool ，最棒的) 。D.J.(Dee Jay)：是Disk Jockey的缩写，Disk 是唱片(黑胶大唱片) ，Jockey 是操作者之意。国内字典翻成「广播节目主持人」是错误的(英渶辞典中有关摇滚乐用语的中译几乎少有正确的) ，正确意思应为「在电台节目或舞会中选播音乐的人」。在Rap 乐中最重要的人物，一为负责口白说唱的Rapper(可为一人、两人甚至一人) 及负责放唱片，作混音、Scratch 等提供Rap 中Background Music 的D.J. 。Dope ：塬为Heroin(海洛英) 的别称，后亦可用于Cannabis() 等各种的称唿，Rap 乐中黑人所用的Dope 是指服用后兴奋、振作的感觉，后亦可与Funky 通用，都是指很好、很过瘾之意。许多Rap 乐手都标榜自己是Dopest (最厉害的; 最好的) 。
Get It Going On：塬来的完整句型是Get Something Going With Someone：意指与某人展开某种罗曼蒂克的爱情故事。Get It Going On 即是指某人的恋爱故事(通常是邂逅之类) 进行顺利。
