“Street Dance of China”, a reality show made by Youku, has been a hit these days. Whether you like it or not, there comes a trend of learning dance!
In 2018, Youku started its first season and the show was broadcast at 8: It had 12 episodes, updated every Saturday night since Feb. 24我的未来式由我做主th . Like some talent shows, there are four idol leaders with their teams on different streets(not real, indoors)----Jackson Yee’s Flammable Device(易燃装置), Show Lo’s Show Lo Team(修楼梯) , Z.Tao’s C-POP(西泡泡) and Han Geng’s FKM(态度大师). Contestants are all dancers and they have to go through a series of competitions to win the championship.
During the 王东岳个人资料program, there are eight main stages. Contestants can choose the leader’s street they like and show their performance to get the towel in the first audition. Only 100 contestants will go to the next round. Then, four idol leaders can get together and judge e
ach one’s abilities, especially during the “Call Out” part since only 49 of them have access to the third stage---the “24-hour Choreography”(24小时编舞). Top 8 contestants will form their own team to perform. Within “Seven to Smoke”(抢七大战), only 44 of them can be left. Next, the idol leaders start the matching game and finally choose 10 members they want in their teams.
After four teams get ready, the competition become more interesting and cruel(残酷的). Two teams will fight face to face. Two members of the team will be knocked out everytime the team loses one point. When they reach the sixth stage, the fights are between teammates.
In the semifinal(半决赛), they are asked to fuse(融合) different kinds of dance by drawing lots(抽签), performing with specific dancers of six topics --- metal, wood, water, fire, earth and street dance. Then, audience will vote and Top 7 contestants show up. The final includes opening shows, guest-helping shows, crew battle and ultimate battle(极限斗舞). And the one who is admitted by judges(裁判) in the end will be the winner.
From this show, you can see a variety of dancing shows and acknowledge more about dance culture. You may also find love&peace during the battles and behind the scenes. It also shows?the?unrestrained?and?innovative?spirit?of?the?modern?youth. The public are more likely to accept dancers than ever before.
