In France, men, women and children shake hands with their friends and often kiss them on both cheeks (脸颊) for meeting and leaving.
In Arab countries, close men friends kiss both cheeks because in their culture, only the right hand is clean. They can’t ask to shake hands with women.

When I have something difficult to do, I always ask my mom, “Could you help me?” But she always says, “Do it yourself, dear.” Then I get so sad. I think she is a lazy mother.
For example, one day, I invited some friends to my home. My bedroom was out of order. Bo
oks were all over the table and floor. I forgot to make my bed. So I asked my mother to help me clean my bedroom. But she said seriously, “Do it yourself, girl.” So I did it.
Because of my “lazy mother”, I am supposed to (应该) wash my clothes and clean my room. I have to help my parents do some housework. I even have to go to the dentist by myself when I have a toothache. It’s really hard to do everything on my own, but I have learned a lot.
