摘要：Mfr. of lightweight building components from fibre-reinforced plastics comprises winding plastics-impregnated rovings onto a mandrel to form cross-wound layers, and removing the resulting laminate from the mandrel and hardening. During the winding operation several rovings are combined to fibrous strands, the strands of any two crossing layers being arranged in adjacent and superposed relationship in such a way that they are bonded together like a textile. The finished wound laminate is then cut up according to the contours of the intended building components and these are finally shaped as desired and hardened. No special moulds fitted with vacuum ducts for close hugging of the parts to be moulded and hardened are required, hence relatively inexpensive and simple prodn. technique. The laminates have low tendency to delamination. Esp. suitable for carbon-fibre-reinforced laminates.
