Abstract
One of the Gothic style in Europe and the United States as the most popular architectural style, even in the film, architecture, music, painting and other aspects have been applied widely, even literary works are often found in Gothic style, such as the British writer Mary Shelley in 1818 the creation of the novel
"Frankenstein" (full name is "modern Frankenstein - Flo Michel J the story", the other is the "Frankenstein", "man's story" etc.). On the basis of the traditional Gothic novel, the novel has a large number of romantic elements and realistic elements, breaking through the frame of traditional Gothic novels, and creating a precedent of science fiction literature. 摘要
哥特式风格作为欧美最受欢迎的建筑风格之一,甚至在电影、建筑、音乐、绘画等方面都被运用得十分广泛,甚至是文学作品当中也常常发现哥特式风格,就比如英国作家玛丽·雪莱在1818年创作的长篇小说《弗兰肯斯坦》(全名是《弗兰肯斯坦——现代普罗米修斯的故事》,其它译名有《科学怪人》、《人造人的故事》等)。小说在传统的哥特式小说的基础上融入了大量的浪漫主义元素和现实主义元素,突破了传统哥特式小说的框架,并开创了科幻文学的先河。小说不仅反映出当时社会的不公和统治阶级的罪行,还反映出社会大众对于统治阶级的反抗以及女性对于自身价值的追求。
本文主要由三个部分组成。
第一部分结合《弗兰肯斯坦》与哥特式小说简介
第二部分是对《弗兰肯斯坦》的内容与背景介绍。
第三部分小说当中的浪漫主义元素与浪漫主义元素的对比。以及小说对哥特式小说发展的影响。

What is Gothic Style
