1.基本原理
在高中阶段，英语教学的目标是使学生掌握基本的语言能力，形成积极的学习态度、灵活的学习策略和跨文化交际的能力。更重要的是，它有助于为学生的终身学习奠定基础。因此，高中英语课程需要重视培养学生获取信息、处理信息和传递信息的能力。此外，高中英语课程也需要重视培养学生用英语思考和表达的能力。
（1）指导思想: 通过阅读文章，学生可以了解和领会对生活中不小心烫伤的处理并且联想其他紧急情况下如何做出正确的急救应对。
（2）理论基础: 任务型教学法和文本理解法及合作探讨法。
（3）设计特点: 急救措施是生活常识，同学们都有一些不规范的小技巧，或是遇事会害怕，不知所措，通过对烧伤的全面认识和处理，帮助学生们树立安全意识，培养孩子们于是冷静，沉着应对的态度。在这节课中，重点是训练学生的阅读能力。

（1）内容分析：
本节课是人教版高中英语必修五第五单元First aid 的阅读部分。 这节课的主题是关于对烧伤的认识和急救措施。在预习部分学生已经了解了不同处境下可能的危险以及什么是急救。在本节课中，作者通过对皮肤的介绍、烧伤的可能原因、烧伤的类型、烧伤的特点、烧伤的急救措施向我们介绍了该如何沉着冷静地正确应对烧伤情况。通过学习本节课，学生可以了解烧伤的正确急救措施及其他紧急情况如何急救。
（2）学生分析：
通过高中阶段的英语学习，我的学生掌握了一些基本的英语知识。他们有自己的观点并且善于表达不同的观点。他们中的大多数同学有一定的阅读文本的能力和英语口语能力。然而由于单词量的缺乏和阅读技能训练的不够，他们理解文章的能力还很欠缺，甚至一些同学根本看不懂文章，完全不能理解文章。因此，对学生的阅读训练很有必要。
3.教学目标
（1）知识与技能:
学生要掌握一些重要的单词和短语。例如aid, burn, poison, iron, swell, damage, squeeze, present,fall ill, squeeze out, in place, a number of等。学生能够用他们的句型，谈论烧伤的急救措施。
（2）过程与方法:
本节课使用多媒体进行教学。我用一些学生们出现意外的照片和一段视频来导入课堂。一方面学生对这些同学和环境比较熟悉。另一方面，可以激发学生的兴趣更快的进入课堂。对文章的阅读和理解是本节课的重点，尤其是加强阅读技能和阅读能力的训练。同时，也训练了学生的听力能力和口语能力。
（3）情感、态度和价值观 :
通过学习，学生学习了对烧伤的急救措施并且学会如何正确处理生活中遇到的一些小意外。同时，培养学生的责任意识和团队的意识。
4.教学重点和难点
教学重点:
学生掌握重点的单词和短语。学生进行阅读的训练，掌握阅读的一些技巧例如快速阅读、细节阅读等，提高阅读的能力。
教学难点:
学生如何理解复杂的句子，尤其是省略句。学生学习并提高用英语获取信息，处理信息的能力，并且训练学生用英语进行思维的能力。
5.课型和时间
新授课：40分钟。
6.教学策略和方法:
本节课采用多媒体进行授课。本节课中将采用任务型教学法，小组合作，讨论的方法。用同学们生活中的小意外伤害的照片和视频导入课堂，对学生进行阅读训练，提高学生的阅读能力，训练阅读的技巧。同时，训练学生的口语能力和听力能力。
7.课前准备:
（1）学生的准备：复习上个单元学习的倒装句。学习单词和预习课文。
（2）教师的准备：研究阅读文章，设计教学计划，制作课件。
（3）教具：多媒体，黑板和粉笔， 翻页笔。

Step two: Ask them what we can do at the situations.

Let students know what first aid is. 
用学生熟悉的同学们的真实意外导入话题可以吸引学生的兴趣。告诉他们天有不测风云，人有旦夕祸福。从而引导学生们联想遇到紧急情况该如何处理？
教师自制的新闻联播视频录音作为听力材料设置情景告诉学生什么是急救 ，为理解课文奠定基础。
对first aid的定义进一步导入本节课话题。

让学生复习烧伤的急救步骤，为了让学生们更进一步记住和理解如何处理烧伤情况。为后面的情景表演积累知识。
学生的讨论、分享使他们对不同情况中可能遇到的危险，有一定的预见性，为在今后生活中做到避免此类情况的发生积累知识。
  通过表演和讨论使课堂活动更加多样化，学生在阅读训练之后能缓解疲乏，巩固知识，增加学习兴趣。
