大陆卷：Many people think that the best way to learn a culture is to learn the language of it. To what extent do you agree or disagree？

Brainstorm:
I started by listing reasons why learning a language is important, and then listing other ways we can learn about a culture. I also read articles from The New Yorker, CNN and BBC, and read journal articles from travel websites, government immigration sites and tourism sites. I then listed the points I had made:

I decided that though learning a language is important, the other ways to learn about a culture were better overall. I decided the first paragraph would focus on the benefits of learning a language to understand a culture, and picked two points to develop.

To understand another culture, we can visit the country, eat the food, and observe their traditions. However, an overwhelming amount of people choose to learn the language of another culture. This essay will consider if learning a language is indeed the best way to know another culture, and offer my own opinion on this discussion.
