摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain the titled powder having fine particle size and superior particle size distribution easily, inexpensively, and in large amt. by heat-treating in the air powdery particles prepd. by adding alkali to aq. soln. contg. Fe<2+> and Ba<2+> and allowing to react by adding a nitrate such as alkali metal nitrate to the aq. soln. CONSTITUTION:Alkali such as NaOH or KOH, etc., is added to aq. soln. contg. Fe<2+> and Ba<2+> obtd. by dissolving, for example, FeCl2 and BaCl2 in water, or aq. suspension contg. hydroxides of Fe<2+> and Ba<2+> to prepare thus hydroxides of Fe<2+> and Ba<2+>. Then, nitrate or chlorate of alkali metal (e.g. KNO3, KClO3) is added thereto to cause reaction at >=10pH. BaO.nFe2O3 (n is -5) as fine (ca. 0.1mu particle size) granular compd. is obtd. by washing the reaction product with water, filtering, and drying. The product is heat-treated in the air, for example, at ca. 900 deg.C for ca. 2hr.
