摘要：PURPOSE:To improve the safety of passengers by inclining the horizontal part of a railing for guiding moving handrails horizontally in a horizontal landing, bendingly in a conveying direction so as to be connected to the inclined part of the railing, and setting the horizontal moving range of the moving handrail to be narrower than that of a footstep. CONSTITUTION:In a horizontal landing 5 provided horizontally at the intermediate part of an inclined body, both ends of the horizontal part of a railing 3 for guiding moving handrails 4 horizontally is provided being inclined in the leniently bent state by the measure of I, II in the conveying direction, in line with the inclined part of the railing 3. The horizontal moving block a-b of the moving handrail 4 is set to be narrower than the horizontal moving block A-B of a footstep 2. A passenger therefore recognizes the ascent/descent starting points A, B of the footsteps 2 by the holding feeling of the handrail 4 before reaching these starting points A, B, thus preventing an accident caused by misjudgment.
