教学设计
1、 教材分析: 
be my lady本节课是一节以过去的生活为话题的读写课。在整个的教学设计中,笔者主要采取的是“任务型教学法”,旨在指导学生在获取信息的过程中理解课文内容及写作框架并学会仿写自己的家乡的生活。本节课是以贝蒂的口吻讲述了她在美国的家乡昆西小镇的生活。这篇课文包含了地理、历史、社会和家庭等方面的内容。第一二段描述了昆西的社会生活,镇上有电影院、商店等,还出过两位总统。第三四段描述了贝蒂的家庭生活,我们可以读到贝蒂的家是什么样子,甚至能了解到她房间的装饰。最后一段描述了贝蒂与朋友的交往。
由于学生对这个单元的话题非常熟悉,笔者尽可能为学生们创设能够启发他们思维的多元化的教学环境。引导学生用There bewith…谈论自己的理想的生活谈论自己理想的房子、花园、家乡及家乡的历史。从理解贝蒂过去生活的表述到独立回忆自己的家乡的生活,加速了所学知识内化的过程,变语言知识为语言交际的工具。
二、教学目标
1. To get information from the reading material about Bettys past life.
2. To understand the sentences with was or were in the passage.
3. To write a brief description about ones past life.
三、学习重、难点:
1、教学重点  掌握以下重点句型:  
.I was born in Quincy, a town on the east coast of America. There were lots of things to do in Quincy.  There was a big living room with a TV..   It was great to play there.   We were looking forward to seeing my friends again
. 2、教学难点:
在生活中能用一般过去时描述和表达过去生活。
四、教学过程与方法
Step1Warming-up
1. Lable  the  picture  with  the  words  form  the  box.(Activity1)
  说明这是一个热身活动,呈现了阅读中的护体词汇,为学生阅读课文扫清了障碍。此活动配有清晰漂亮的图片,呈现的词汇都与“house”有关,这一内容每个学生都熟悉,教学活动很容易展开。
操作:学生先不看书,教师用多媒体展示关于“house”的图片,让学生观察图片,展开对话活动或回答问题。学生讨论或回答的同时,教师展现新词汇。让学生开展“头脑风暴”
活动,尽可能多地列出与“house”有关的单词。可以分组开展比赛,比一比,看谁的词汇量大。

Step2  Reading
1.通过标题预测本文内容
Read the title of this passage, and guess what the writer will tell us.
2.快速略读课文,匹配段落大意,把握文章框架。
Read the passage, and match the paragraphs with the main ideas.

[设计意图]通过预测及略读,学生分别抓住了课文的基本结构和主旨大意。
3.细读每一段完成思维导图获得本文细节信息并进行信息转换。
[设计意图]反复朗读课文,理解课文的内容。四人一组完成思维导图,在这一活动中,学生们小组配合,提高了练习的积极性,而且使得每个学生都有了参与的机会,并且能够相互帮助、相互合作,最终达到人人都理解,人人都有收获的效果。
4. 在完成思维导图之后,复述每一段。

    two movie theatres, and football and baseball teams too.
B Two presidents of the USA, John Adams and his son John
    Quincy Adams, were born in Quincy. You can visit their old family houses.
C Our house was big. There was a big living room with a TV
    a kitchen ,a bathroom and three bedrooms. On my bedroom
    walls there were posters of my favorite movie stars.
D There was a big garden with lots of trees and there was a pond with fish in it. It was great to play there.
E There were lots of children, so there were lots of friends. Im looking forward to seeing m
y friends . One day,Ill go back.
[设计意图] 检验学生是否掌握了课文中的细节信息,并能够进行输出。

作业:结合上面的任务,让学生描述自己过去的生活。
[设计意图]这个环节是让学生对本课所学内容进行综合运用的过程,也是检验教师教学目标是否达成的一个途径。通过这两个段落的写作指导,让学生突破写作难点。
