CONSTITUTION:The processor 1 of the CAD system defines the product form on a rectangular coordinate system constituting of a first axis corresponding to a material feeding direction and a second axis intersecting it at right angles based on the product form data stored beforehand, and defines an offset form in which the outline of the product form is offset by half of the clearance width according to the set and inputted clearance width for the material preparation. In this case, the processor 1 rotates and converts successively this offset form by a prescribed angle of rotation in the rectangular coordinate system, and at every rotation and conversion, it calculates the material preparing area of a product form unit, and compares the material preparing area of each angle of rotation, and detects the minimum area, and outputs the angle of rotation corresponding to this minimum area to the CAD system.
